Inspection and Refurbishing Procedures
SHOT PEENING:
The rim is first blasted with small metal beads to strip away paint and debris. Each rim is issued with job numbers and digital photos are taken for traceability purposes.
INSPECTION:
Once the rim is cleaned a Magnetic Particle Inspection is performed to reveal mechanical damage and cracking. Detecting defects on rims.
REFURBISHING:
After inspection, damaged and worn sections are removed by means of specialised cutting, machining and welding processes.
FINAL INSPECTION:
All rims undergo a Non Destructive testing assessment after overhauling of rims, insuring all welding and workmanship is of high quality. Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Testing and Vibratory Stress Relieved processes are also available on request done by qualified NDT company.
TAG & PAINTING:
After final inspection each rim gets a unique serial number for tracking service life. The latest RFID tracking solution can Quickly and efficiently identify products, coordinate service, and record activities directly to RFID tags affixed to each product.
